Just burn the White House instead

Lock the door and set up a perimeter first so the cockroaches don't get out.

Not like that hasn’t been done before.

you guys can do it yourselves this time, though. had enough practice on Jan 6th, right?

[–] Weslee@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

The ones that practised on jun 6th aren't going to be doing it again while trump is in office

I wonder if those who fondle the flag should be prosecuted for gross indecency towards national symbols...

Trump humping the flag

What about cutting it up and making clothing?

[–] MourningDove@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I was never a fan of the Black Crows, but there was something about that album, I just can’t put my finger in it….

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

…unless you’re the president. You can do anything.

[–] Hayduke@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago

He just closed his eyes and thought of ivanka

The flag actually likes it when you grab it by the tassles. When you're rich they let you do it.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 20 points 3 weeks ago

That was the "OLD" Supreme Court. The "NEW" Supreme Court disagrees.

It’s awesome how our liberties are being trampled. I’ve never been more proud to live in this shithole country.

I guess it's time to bring back flag burning.

What better way to demonstrate that America is "the land of the free"?

What better way to demonstrate that it's not the land of the free, by prosecuting such a trivial thing.

Constitution doesn't mean squat with his rigged regime in place.

uniquely offensive

Oh, so we care about this now? I can think of a uniquely offensive occurrence involving a fouly nicknamed plane and an island that just might be a bit more worthy of investigation & prosecution.

This is where the rubber meets the road folks. If this passes. There is no democracy remaining in this country.

[–] zero_spelled_with_an_ecks@programming.dev 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

There is no passing. Executive orders don't create new laws. You can't be charged with burning a flag. You can and will be arrested for something else if you do this, though.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

OK. I'm game.

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 weeks ago

ah yes, THIS time it's different. so different from the last fifty things equally as bad

[–] vala@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 3 weeks ago

This damage will never be undone

[–] f1error@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

This doesn’t change the law. Go burn flags. Just don’t commit any crimes while doing it and you should be good.

If you own the flag and burn it on your property I’m not sure what they could do to you.

I am not a lawyer so probably best not to take an internet strangers legal advice
