So around a week ago, I made that post.
Of course, the fault here was clearly the outlet. I’ve since had them changed out but nonetheless I had sent photos to steam support and told them i believed the only reason a fire didn’t start was because of that charger block.
They reached back to me the very next day, asked for a shipping address to send a new charger to, gave me safety precautions about using that bad outlet, and thanked me for the information.
The charger came ~4 days later and I couldn’t be happier that a company the size of them has always had a phenomenal track record with support, and I’ve finally had my experience with it. They sent me a $40 charger for something that wasn’t even their fault!!
WHY DONT THESE OTHER CORPS TAKE NOTES?!
