I love my Steam Deck and honestly it changed the way I play games.
But sometimes I wonder: what if Valve brought back a kind of “Steam Machine” — a fixed, living room device running SteamOS, more powerful than the Deck, and synced with it?
I know some people will say “just build a gaming PC and hook it up to your TV”, but not everyone wants (or can) put a full PC in their living room. And yes, you can dock the Deck itself, but at some point the hardware limits show up.
I’m thinking of a true hybrid experience: handheld + living room box, sharing the same library and progress. So you can play home, then go outside and keep playing on the deck, or also you may use the steam deck as a controller and the screen of the deck as an help, like the fail concept of the Wii U.
Would you be into that, or do you think it’s unnecessary?
