agree, also I feel like out of the maoists I know they are way more likely to have colored hair than rules-based-order appreciators.

It's the pro-china propaganda that's been swarming Lemmy. Mind you, they are not pro communism, they are pro Chinese government.

The PRC is a socialist country, so it makes sense that communists support it.

I dont even get how it could be pro China...

The support for Mao and the CPC's version of the hammer and sickle didn't tip you off that it's pro-PRC?

Are you a bot?

I found this happened on Reddit. It's like these posts were bait, then comments like you were used to convince users to sanitize their feeds it basically gets the opposition to these people to eliminate themselves. Then when it matters, these people have basically a red carpet to the platform since the opposition blocked them all. But they're growth only means you're just going to get exposed to more of this since you are giving them what they want. You block them, but that engagement they grow from means you will see more of it later.

I'm pretty burnt out on bubbles. The message is... not exactly something I agree with, but is an interesting take I find worth consideration (good to challenge your biases, right?).

But the memes are such low-quality it's like I'm viewing "The Right Can't Meme" but from the Tankie side. They aren't funny. They aren't thought-provoking. They're just cringe-inducing. And I'm not really into that vicarious embarassment type of comedy.

But are you the target?

You need to know if they're effective. It's not about making you personally chuckle. It's about momentum. It's about engagement. There's no world where you get nothing but thought provoking funny content on the regular. This is still clever enough I think and works as a good meme

...or maybe, i don't want my feed full of tanky contents?

Whatever. I'm a bot, bip bop bup...

You're on a platform made by communists, there are going to be communists on it, though you are on one of the more anti-communist instances already.

Yea because ignoring a sign of cancer stops the Cancer from spreading and telling others they can do it means it stops even faster

Blocking this stuff means you will get more of it. Without a doubt. Not engaging with it in its infancy only means by the time you realize you can't keep up with the blocks will also be the time you realize you shouldn't have contributed to given them carte blanche to eyes and ears and platforms. People who block things that they don't like are the same as people who don't vote in elections where the opposition is an orange Nazi
