Speaking to Prensa Latina, Hu Yaofeng of Zhejiang Houji Intelligent Technology commented that the AIpaaS system integrates AI and the Internet of Things (IoT) in crops where intelligent control is maintained throughout the production process.

"This promotes data-driven decisions and supports the transition to organic and digital agriculture," he emphasized.

According to the expert, the automated process improves efficiency by 75 percent compared to traditional planting.

The production process comprises six stages: automatic palletizing, placement of planting baskets, precise transplanting, pipe rotation, planting, and harvesting. Except for the last stage, all stages are fully automated.

According to Hu, the vegetables produced contain no pesticide residues or heavy metals, are rich in nutrients, and their yield is five to seven times higher than that of traditional open-field farming.

Prensa Latina visited the Zhejiang Houji AIoT Smart Agriculture Industrial Integration Demonstration Park, where Hu Yaofeng's company is located.

Data provided by local specialists confirm that the results of using these technologies here are transformative: 90 percent water savings, 77 percent reduction in fertilizer use, 100 percent pesticide-free crops, and 50 percent labor savings.

China is currently actively integrating artificial intelligence and advanced technologies into its agricultural practices to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

The country has deployed AI-enabled drones and smart sensors for precision agriculture, tools that allow farmers to monitor crop health, soil moisture, and pest infestations in real time.

Furthermore, China's Smart Agriculture Action Plan 2024-2028 promotes the adoption of big data and AI in rural areas to optimize resource allocation and improve yields.

With pilot programs in major agricultural provinces, China is carrying out large-scale, technology-driven agricultural reform.

According to Hu, the vegetables produced contain no pesticide residues or heavy metals, are rich in nutrients, and their yield is five to seven times higher than that of traditional open-field farming... 90 percent water savings, 77 percent reduction in fertilizer use, 100 percent pesticide-free crops, and 50 percent labor savings.

These things are important to me, personally, and to the rest of us whether we know it or not.

But at what cost:

"But sir there must be a mistake, I wanted to perform back breaking labor harvesting crops in the blistering sun."

"GET INTO THE LAB AFTER RECIEVING SUBSIDIED EDUCATION!!!"
