No, its patronage. I am not buying anything, just supporting an artist. Then I "acquire" a piece coincidentally from the same artist, because a minority of people can apparently bully payment processors in to not accepting money for goods.

Cryptocurrency can't handle this amount of transaction. Also, it's so much power hungry. We need something lightweight and powerful.

It sounds like you're conflating Bitcoin with cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is power hungry. Not all crypto is proof-of-work, and actually, most aren't. Not all crypto has insane transaction fees, that's mostly a Bitcoin thing. These are massive issues with Bitcoin which is why I'm surprised anyone still values Bitcoin at all.

As long as bitcoin's price dictates the rest of other coins' prices, it won't matter that there are "better" coins. Whenever bitcoin has a surge or a big drop, every other coin follows.
