[yellow is being tortured by pink, bound to a chair, sweating and bleeding, while pink holds pliers and smile smugly, showing a tooth has been extracted from yellow's mouth, yellow is shouting] HELP! HELP! I AM BEING TORTURED

[pink, smiling, talking to a cop, still holding the bloody pliers] He agreed to this when he accepted the terms and conditions and agreed to all the cookies

[orange cop, smiling back] Fair enough, that's on him then

We had a real, similar case like this not too long ago in Finland (extensive article from Finnish national broadcasting company, NSFL text).

Court concluded that no one can give consent to be tortured/maimed/etc.

This also happens quite a lot in the porn industry.

Trick a girl into doing "modelling work", then last minute convince her that it's actually adult content but not to worry it will be just a few pictures. Please sign this document here though, so we make sure you're aware the content is adult.

Now when a camera is rolling and she is alone with a bunch of strangers in a closed studio, force upon her the most extreme BDSM scenes possible. Turns out the contract had a paragraph about how they would film extreme content and she fully consents and that any disagreement is simulated for the camera.

Japan did this a lot, in fact, but the ones who speak out are often suppressed.

That makes me really angry and sad... I knew there is a lot of abuse and trafficking happening in the adult material industry, but this is my first time reading about it. Thanks for brining this to my attention.

In my opinion, a thought provoking primer on the state of the industry is PhilosophyTube's "Sex Work". Abagail's work in making the topic entertaining makes it a great introduction, but that doesn't prevent her from diving into some fairly deep and nuanced subject matter.

(It's worth noting, she's male-presenting in this piece as it was released before her public transition, not that it matters one whit for the context of the video. She looked incredible then and incredible now.)

Thank you! Was about to search for a documentary or something on that topic now that it came up.
