Hi, I need to download a few albums from apple music. All sites that I have seen only grab one song, and limit you after 3 songs or something, so grabbing full a album at once would be nice.

I dont have any subscription

Thanks for any help :)

I use telegram bot @GlomaticoPinkMusicBot , it allows to download entire albums without apple music subscription

This is an absolute gem, mate. Cheers!

Does this work in the browser or do you need to install something? I have never used telegram bots

[–] land@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago

It’s very easy.

Go to the Apple Music app on your iPhone, find the album, and copy the link. Then, go to Telegram, type the name of the bot, and paste the link. The bot will automatically download the album for you, and you can save it in your Files app.

Why does it have to be Apple Music?

[–] jbone@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Exactly, why not just get the album from another source?

slsk is still top dog when it comes to music IMO

I dont have any experience with Soulseek, the album I'm looking for is in polish language, is Soulseek also good for non english music?

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 2 days ago

In my experience, yes. Users from all around the world sharing their collections.

Because the album is there (amazon music and apple music), I havent found it in another place.

Try 7digital or qobuz, if not them, then prostudiomasters or ototoy. One of those is bound to have it.

7digital

what do you mean by 7digital? I know qobuz, the album is not there

[–] SweetCitrusBuzz@beehaw.org 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

2 or 3 digit country code.7digital.com, so for example https://us.7digital.com/. What is the album btw?

Okay, seems you are correct and nowhere DRM free has it, but, is it okay to DM you? I did find something.

Amazon is easier to get the music from as long as you don’t have a subscription to their streaming service. Apple has a lot of hoops you need to jump through. See my comment in the root thread.

Can't you just download a torrent?

You’ll need a Windows or Mac computer with the iTunes software (NOT WEB), a CD burner and at least one blank CD. You also can’t have an Apple streaming subscription.

Once you’ve met the prerequisites, buy the album, download it to your computer using the iTunes software and burn it to a CD using the iTunes software. From there, rip the newly minted CD to whatever format you fancy.

That’s been the work flow since the beginning of iTunes and should still work. Admittedly, I haven’t tested it in more than 10 years.

As far as I know there isn’t a bypass available. Haven’t checked in a while though.

You may be able to simulate burning to a CD and burn to .iso instead, but I haven’t done that since Windows XP, so you’re on your own there.

Edit: forgot to add that you have to use the iTunes software to burn the CD.

Itunes store shut down

This is nonsense. If you buy music on iTunes it is DRM-free and has been since the late 2000s.

[–] ook@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's hilarious. Allows you to burn it. Doesn't allow you to just directly download it.
