Twenty years after Jeffrey Epstein was exposed for his child sex abuse enterprise, the Justice Department this week made a startling revelation. Rather than the “dozens” of victims previously alleged by the government and media, Justice now says that there were “over one thousand” victims.

With that many, he probably needed to keep track. Maybe with a list of his clients or something?

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 80 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’ve seen that list in person and let me tell you it doesn’t exist.

[–] plastic@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Whoa, was the list on your desk?

[–] HowAbt2day 6 points 2 days ago

Perhaps. Or not. We’ll never know. Or will we? Perhaps.

I'm surprised they didn't go for their signature move.

"Here's the list. Aheam:

  • Biden
  • Biden
  • Biden
  • Clinton

... "

Clinton was almost certainly on there. If the list ever dropped both the Dems and repubs are going to lose some of their celebrities.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Regardless of party. Everyone needs to pay the price. Fucking with kids gets your ass beat in prison. Should be the same outside of the cell.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 days ago

I agree, but I also believe there's a 0% chance of a former president going to jail no matter what he did.

[–] Aitolda@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So what? Bring it. All of it.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago

You'll get no argument from me. I'm saying "Clinton is in the list" is probably more than just right wing propaganda.

20 bucks is 20 bucks.

[–] catty@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

and reports at the time showed he had a phone book

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago

Maybe even a private jet? Or a secret island in the Caribbean? Couldn’t be…

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (1 children)

no, no, there was no Epstein at all!

[–] Laser@feddit.org 5 points 2 days ago

There was no Epstein, only files about him, no there aren't, and if we had any tapes, don't you think we'd show you, except there are tapes, except they don't show stuff

Justice says it reviewed “more than 300 gigabytes of data and physical evidence,” including “over ten thousand downloaded videos and images of illegal child sex abuse material.”

I refuse to believe that 300GB of material yielded no additional suspects.

Who said they were looking for suspects?

We all joke, but the people in charge clearly do whatever the fuck they want and then sweep it under the rug when/if it becomes public.

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 days ago

If there's one thing I know, it's that if anyone sends the list to Ken Klippenstein he will publish it.

[–] teagrrl@lemmy.ml 34 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Satan should invent a new, deeper layer of hell for this guy.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

And everyone who helped cover up his crimes and those of his accomplices.

Or better yet, we could punish them in real life instead of engaging in fantasy.

[–] teagrrl@lemmy.ml 0 points 2 days ago

How are you gonna punish Epstein? He's dead.

[–] 001Guy001@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Would he even arrive in hell? To my knowledge, God (at least of the old testament) never really condemned sexual assault/rape or hurting children (the latter is even encouraged - "spare the rod, spoil the child", the binding of Isaac, etc.). A rapist could marry his victim as a "punishment" (as long as she's single, otherwise if she was another man's property, both her and the rapist should die)

Depending on the flavor of abrahamic religions, all you need to do is either believe in God or believe and do works by God. So sin isn't so much what sends people to hell, or everyone would be there. I would doubt the actions of someone like Epstein, despite populist opinions on religion, are actions rooted in a religious person.

Poor guy got his hands full with Kissinger, give him a break

[–] Grapho@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Kissinger is probably four degrees of separation from Epstein at the most and that's assuming Epstein had a handler

People are still talking about this creep? Jeez, time to move on people... clearly nothing to see here.

[–] Saint_of_Illusion@lemmus.org 12 points 2 days ago

I guess a few people didn't detect your joke.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago

Ken Klippenstein is a gem.

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 2 points 2 days ago

He *aped all if them, all by himself.
