Should be fixed in next release!

Thank you for your work on this! In the future, do you prefer bug reports here or codeberg/github/whatever forge you use?

The same bug occurs adding images to comments, now that I test that

AFAIK piefed doesn't support attaching images to comments, only posts. For comments, you have to have your image somewhere on the web and embed hyperlink it.

Does somewhere on the web include my instance’s pictrs server or is that managed by piefed?

[–] acockworkorange@mander.xyz 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Anywhere public. So you could create a dummy post to get your picture to your instance (or whatever other method) and link it like this:

![Alt text](link to picture)

Note the reclamation before the brackets. That's what tells clients to embed the picture.

When I add an image from the voyager app on lemmy.zip or piefed.zip that’s how it seems to be done - the image is uploaded to the pictrs server and then hyperlinked exactly like that. Piefed.zip is down right now so I can’t test if it’s the pictrs upload (suspect this one) or the hyperlinking, but I’ll play with it more later to find out. Thanks!
