I'll add for info: I'm on android voyager version 2.37.2 and via a sopuli.xyz account, I can see all the posts/images on ich_iel.

Thanks! I did some more testing myself.
I can't see feddit.org images from my piefed.zip account in Voyager, but it works with my lemmy.zip account in Voyager.
I am on the same version and can also use my .org account.
+1
I get the same error from all feddit.org posts on Voyager
I also have a lot of those failed to load media errors on feddit.org posts (from lemmy.eco.br).
I haven't been able to repro, works fine for me, android+piefed.zip+viewing ich_iel. Have you tried asking the feddit.org admins? Maybe you could send them your IP and they could investigate the logs. Its possible they are blocking the user agent/ip. Voyager should send "VoyagerApp" somewhere in the user agent for the native apps.
I don't know what changed or who fixed it, but since today everything works again. I can log in with my feddit.org account and see all images. I even see images that were broken previously.
Thanks for looking into it.
I'm having the same "failed to load media"-problem with feddit.org.
For weeks now.
I noticed, that it does not only affect Voyager but also one of the 3 browsers i have on my phone (Pixel 6a).
These two apps do have this exact problem:
- Voyager
- Via (Browser)
These two apps don't have this problem:
- Chrome (Browser)
- Kiwi (Browser)
Then:
- I tried clearing the cache of Voyager & Via.
- I tried clearing the cache of the native web-view, just in case it's the one that's been used by voyager or via.
- I tried mobile & wi-fi.
- I tried various NordVPN servers.
- I tried an app to change the DNS servers.
- I tried a reboot.
Actually the Via-Browser even shows a "Nginx 403 Forbidden" page when i visit https://feddit.org/.
My guess would be the User-Agent string; But since most Voyager users don't seem to have this problem this probably isn't it. ๐ค
It's weird ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
I believe piefed support in Voyager is very experimental at this point, so it probably shouldnโt be a surprise that there are issues.
It's not a PieFed specific problem. Only one of the accounts I checked is PieFed, the rest are Lemmy accounts.
