Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

We were travelling with ryanair. I saw the baggage checker and gave my partner, who was carrying our 6 month old baby, a 'you sure the bag fits' look. We were maybe four back in the queue but the checker saw and practically began salivating. Holding his little card machine he gleefully asked us to put our obviously undersized bag in the hole. The greedy little fascist was clearly disappointed he missed out on his £1 bonus.

A yes, a fascist - someone who is working class like me and being forced under pain of lost wages to bend to the whims of the CEO who enacted the money-grubbing policy.

whilst I hear you on the rich vs poor front, there's a difference between following orders and getting erect at the prospect of carrying them out

We're flying ryanair and worried about a bag fine, you think I'm the king of England...

Sorry i should say a greedy little piggy, class traitor. Actively excited to take £70 off someone so he can have one pound of it.

I thought the size of carry on luggage was checked at check in before boarding. It was the last time I flew.

No they hang around the gate like vultures with credit card machines. At that point there’s nothing you can do except pay. This explains all the dickwaddery that’s been going on in the last few years. We call them ThievyJet.

Most people check in online these days on something called the internet, grandma. Planes also have only 2 wings now you should check them out they don’t crash as much when the Luftwaffe aren’t trying to shoot them.

Alright, some of us are not rich enough to go on international holidays all the time.
