We need to nationalize a portion of the big 3 telecoms for the security of our communications. They cannot be trusted to keep our data secure.

While agree that comms should be a nationally controlled resource, the procurement space for that equipment would be just as vulnerable under government contract as under the big 3.

They where so deep into the American telecoms it would be naive to think they where not on ours. I mean they where in the system that was created to backdoor the cellular network in America. I think it's part of the standard so can't see why Canada would have been different.
