Sounds like impatient anarchists who just want to throw their bodies against the cops for the sake of it, and are frustrated when the organized communist party doesn't think the revolution will occur through street scuffles with traffic cones and umbrellas.
I do think there is some valid criticism of just doing a march along pre-approved paths, this type of demonstration doesn't amount to much and will need to be escalated. I just think the most successful methods to escalate and apply pressure require organization, and require going after specific targets and chokepoints of commerce. Things like sit-ins at specific places, protests in front of specific locations, blockades, strikes, etc. In terms of anti-ICE protests the important thing is protecting the local immigrant populations and blocking ICE from getting to them.
If they were to do illegal things, which I disavow of course, purely theoretically, those things should be done with purpose and clarity and in a planned and professional manner.
Not just spray painting and breaking random things.
