Really odd how her opinions always seem to line up with the Kremlin's

[–] REDACTED@infosec.pub 9 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Feels weird agreeing with her

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 7 points 1 hour ago

NO. It's weird that SHE agress with US.

[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I'd be worried about what her "solution" is

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 1 points 54 minutes ago

She probably has something pretty final in mind.

I oppose war in Iran because was is detestable.

You oppose war in Iran because you want troops in California instead.

We are not the same.

[–] Kinperor@lemmy.ca 13 points 9 hours ago

This is not a time to get hung up about identity politics, who's red, who's blue. Everyone should scream at the Trump regime that war with Iran is unacceptable and to never bring it up again.

There will be time for bickering afterwards about details, but right now, everyone against this war should circle the wagons.

And everyone not against this war needs to first say no to that war, second pick up an history book about Iraq and Afghanistan.

When I hear someone like MTG say something like this my first thought isn’t “Oh, she’s finally figuring it out!” No. It’s “What fucked up way does she think people need to be brainwashed to align more with her brand of shittiness?”

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml 5 points 9 hours ago

When a right winger tells the truth, it's because they're lying twice. Or in this case, more like 4, possibly 6 times.

[–] RedditIsDeddit@lemmy.world 32 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

They are so close to realizing it.

[–] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 9 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

They are absolutely not and will not under any circumstances actually go after Trump for any of this.

It's almost sentient.

starts eating its own shit again

Nevermind.

The recurring cycle of MTG deciding she wants more attention.

[–] humanspiral@lemmy.ca 37 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Saw polling where even Trump voters only have 25% support for attack on Iran, and majority of all demographics oppose by over 50%. There is a huge disconnect between zionist supremacist media and politicians, and American people. Not just war, but marjority of Amercians have unfavourable view of Israel despite absolute political/media dominance to "educate them".

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 19 points 14 hours ago

Polls also show overwhelming support for social security and taxing the rich, the GOP don't give af and the R voters won't change how they vote over this.

[–] ristoril_zip@lemmy.zip 15 points 14 hours ago

welcome to the resistance, Marjorie

There's a youtuber I like that uses the term "weaponized autism" but this is more of a "ballistic brain damage" scenario.

"Want to see something cool?"

[–] RopeSlinger@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

I got that dude all over my feed now. No idea why, but I'm never disappointed in the fact that the stuff he's throwing out is, in fact, super cool

[–] Breezy@lemmy.world 30 points 16 hours ago

I thought this was a SNL skit with a joe biden character on the left.

[–] IEatDaGoat@lemm.ee 2 points 10 hours ago

I don't even know her motivation. She could just keep quiet and not shoot herself in the foot.

[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 2 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

Well for once she has a point

Probably the rare times she said something that isn't totally crazy

[–] RadioFreeArabia@lemmy.cafe 7 points 14 hours ago (1 children)
[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 1 points 10 hours ago

I'm not sure this is a "win"

It is just reality

Kinda. MTG is ragging on Fox News, sure, but she's also both-sides'ing media outlets on the left with her full quote:

We have propaganda news on our side just as the left does

She's fishing for people to agree with her which legitimizes her claim that left-leaning news networks are just as untrustworthy as Fox News, which is an untrustworthy news outlet, but she doesn't say shit about Breitbart or OANN or any of the other right-wing superspreaders of misinformation.

So, she is a broken clock that's currently pointing at the correct time, but she did it in a way to sneak in an untruth or two in there hoping that people would pick up on that and amplify the message.

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 3 points 12 hours ago

Putting the new York times and fox news in the same category is correct as far as I can tell. I don't oppose her calling NYT republican either.

[–] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 5 points 14 hours ago

Look, fuck this racist asshole Marjory. But liberal news sources are also largely garbage. The NYT, for example (well respected by liberals) is constantly giving voice to reactionaries, lying by omission, supporting US imperialism and just generally upholding the status quo, even when it means normalizing/legitimizing fresh horrors from republicans.

[–] RadioFreeArabia@lemmy.cafe 4 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

There are liberal propaganda outlets and congressperons pushing for war with Iran

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 1 points 58 minutes ago

..and some of them think it's going to "liberate the people of Iran".

[–] limer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 13 hours ago

I have not looked at the American mainstream press for a few months, but honestly cannot remember any broadcasters or papers who are decently covering all news

I prefer "stopped clock," since broken clocks can often continue ticking, albeit at the wrong speed.

[–] TheOakTree@lemm.ee 3 points 14 hours ago (5 children)

A broken clock, whether it ticks too fast or too slow, is still right at least once every 24 hours, I think.

The only exception would be one that ticks correctly but is not set to the right time (does this count as broken?)

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (3 children)

If a 24-hr clock is one second slow per day, its correct once every 236 years.

[–] AoxoMoxoA@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

They did the math

Yeah but the full saying is "a stopped clock is still right twice a day"

Exactly.

Fuck, I agree with MTG this morning? And I was off to such a good start today.

I have no idea if she's just that stupid and only sees one move in front of her, or if she always knew but it's only now suitable for her to say the truth. (It's also possible it's both with these people.)
