Oh no I charged too much, I'm blowing up.

If you whip it sideways you might be able to get them both

[–] AgentOrangesicle@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

New trolly problem just hit!

[–] outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

Right. How do you hit both?

Or do you lose your pride as a driver?

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

We should probably frame all of lifes choices as trolley problem models. Speaking of which I'd like to proudly nominate now that our next president be Mr Shia Le Bouf, with carrot top as his VP. The two are obviously better than a third term for trump and couchfucker Vance, and we have to think of harm reduction. Do you want Shia or Trump?

[–] starman2112@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

If 75 million people are pulling the lever towards Shia, 75 million people are pulling the lever towards Trump, and 2 million are trying to divert it to a third track, then I'm helping pull it towards Shia

"Sorry, but your brake subscription has expired."

Also, that would require a Tesla's systems to function, which is not a guarantee.

"We are sorry, but this arboreal feature is on the property of an Amazon™ warehouse, and you have not accepted the necessary licensure and non-disclosure agreement to enter. Steering Wheel will remain locked."

Solution: Never touch Tesla! Confused as to what is so fucking hard about that?

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 70 points 2 days ago (6 children)

If you drift, you can catch them both!

[–] Anomalocaris@lemm.ee 21 points 2 days ago

if you drift you could hit both

[–] mwproductions@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I still remember one of the questions on my written driving test from almost 30 years ago. It was something like:

A group of pedestrians start crossing the road in front of you, just as the light turns green for you. What do you do?

  • Honk your horn and yell at them.
  • Nothing, just wait for them to finishing crossing.
  • Rev your engine to scare them into crossing faster.
  • Hit one to teach the rest a lesson.

I was so tempted to pick the last option.

[–] RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 3 points 1 day ago

A, C, and D in that order.

[–] mazzilius_marsti@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Déjà vu!

Higher on the street

[–] OwlPaste@lemmy.world 28 points 2 days ago

why is that baby not on a leash!

[–] usualsuspect191@lemmy.ca 20 points 2 days ago

My truck is lifted so that I can safely cruise over all the babies in the road. Just gotta keep them between the tires.

[–] kn0wmad1c@programming.dev 13 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Trying to hit all two
But I don't know if I can do it

[–] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Pull the emergency brake, spin the wheel, and drift. You got this.

Sung to the tune of Corning My Religion, of course.

[–] match@pawb.social 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

There should realistically be an option for driving off the road into the trees.

[–] Anomalocaris@lemm.ee 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

or not speeding in the first place

[–] drosophila@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Ideally the speed limit should be set such that it would always be possible to stop in time at such crossings. Even more ideally the road would be designed such that it would be impossible to exceed that limit.

Unfortunately there are many places where this is not the case.

How about driving with at most that speed that would allow you to break to a full stop inside the range you can see. Or within half that range if the street is to narrow for another passing car.

I think I thought I saw you die

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago

What an idiot. There’s a whole picnic just out of frame that’s had it too good for too long.
