How do we know it's the brain, and not the eye itself?
For example, when participants read ‘sun’, they automatically create a mental image of a bright ball of fire in the sky. And, plausibly, this mental image then causes the pupil to constrict.

I heard from a uhh.. friend that if you have a certain kind of mushrooms then colors can get much more vivid. Same hardware but different mental state.
