Israel just carried out a widespread bombing of Iran, which has killed a number of senior officials inside Iran (though it seems the leadership is more-or-less intact) as well as a number of civilians. Important facilities have been targeted, but the amount of damage is unknown so far (note that many important Iranian facilities are deep underground, making them both hard to damage but also hard to determine if they are damaged from just satellite imagery, so reports of damage will be he-said-she-said).

It appears the attack took Iran by surprise, given that a residential block was targeted that contained some senior officials - if one saw an attack coming, one would imagine they'd be in bunkers. Nonetheless, like the rest of the Resistance Axis, I suspect that Iran has adapted their military structures to be resistant to decapitation strikes by ensuring that replacement figures are ready to take the place of killed officials.

Iran has delivered a massive missile barrage in response to Israeli aggression, even though Israel is continuing to bomb Iran. Iran is now aware of the location of many important Israeli sites, including secret nuclear sites, due to their recent intelligence haul, giving them a distinct edge.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

It seems that IOF middle defense systems have been degraded/depleted to a significant point. Will tho allow Iran and Yemen to use kamikaze drones in future strikes?

It has been under constant pressure for a good while, first the sporadic rocket attacks from Gaza that makes the settler run underground and spend a few missiles on them. Then the very impressive Hezbollah missile and rocket campaign, which already showed the "israeli" AD was beginning to give up. True Promises campaigns already showed they cannot stop all incoming iranian strikes, especially in sensitive areas. The only "blessing" for "israel" is that these missiles are not as accurate as one might like, while "israel" retains very good accuracy on their strikes against Iran itself.

I do not think the US will allow for the "israeli" AD to be fully depleted though, they will step in eventually I bet.

"Israel", as many fascist states do, rely on a sense of security. They know they are in very hostile territory and even the most delusional zionist knows that they live in stolen land, therefore a massive security apparatus is needed, They kinda promised their own settlers that nothing will happen to them, that they are protected by a magical shield that kills every "foreign" object thrown at them. Each missile that lands on "israel" and hits anything, doesn't matter what kind of material damage it does, it inflicts damage on the "israeli" morale and sense of security. That alone will not be enough to shatter "israel" of course, but it helps a lot. If they live in fear, as they should because they are colonizers pieces of shit, they cannot live in peace. And if they cannot live in peace, they fuck off.

if drones are on the table then the settlers will look back on the days of just missiles with fond nostalgia

This latest strike seems have been far more successful than those prior. As their interceptor stocks dwindle subsequent strikes might be more successful still. There's been serious strikes against Iran since Friday. The longer this goes on the more it seems the Israelis seirously miscalculated. Not sure where they can go from here. False flag to draw in the Americans?

[–] niph@hexbear.net 11 points 34 minutes ago (1 children)

Are the interceptor stocks dwindling? I mean, I hope so, but it seems an insane miscalculation if they’re already running out after what, less than ten salvoes of missiles? Have they always been this papery of a tiger or are we not getting the full picture?

[–] thethirdgracchi@hexbear.net 10 points 31 minutes ago* (last edited 25 minutes ago) (1 children)

Well I think they must be, given recent strikes Iran has been launching less missiles with ever greater destruction. Israel is getting choosier with using them as they ration them perhaps. I don't see any other reason why Iranian strikes keep hitting more targets.

EDIT: Maybe the Iranians are putting out some of their more advanced missiles? I know the earlier strikes were using rather old ballistics.

I didn’t think this would be possible? I thought Israel only had the most competent 18 year olds working anti-missile batteries

Rest in piss to the coward 19 year old Israeli brigadier generals who died in the arrow self-suck incident

That's crazy, I wonder how that occurred, defective missile?

Clearly the work of Hamas

[–] AnarchoCynicalist@hexbear.net 5 points 18 minutes ago

Was the launcher destroyed by this? The missfired missile exploded quite a way off by the looks of it.

Fires seen at Haifa power plant after Iranian attack

We’ve been reporting on the casualties and damage in central Israel following the latest attacks. Now, we are getting reports of hits in northern Israel, in the port city of Haifa. The UK maritime security firm Ambrey said fires have been observed at the power plant in the vicinity of Israel’s Haifa port. It also said it observed video footage of the Israeli military intercepting the attack, followed by impacts from two hypersonic missiles.

You don't see it in this video, but this is two Israeli interceptors malfunctioning.

[–] Z_Poster365@hexbear.net 4 points 35 minutes ago

🇮🇷IRGC Aerospace Force:

'In response to the Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in retribution to their crimes against Gaza:

The IRGC Aerospace Forces carried out a new missile strike in the series of 'True Promise-3', targeting the command and control systems of the Zionist enemy and various other sensitive military sites.

The attack was stronger and more destructive than before, and we used innovative methods, intelligence, and more advanced equipment.

Our attacks will continue, and they will continue to grow stronger for as long as the Zionist aggression against us continues.'

[–] whatdoiputhere12@hexbear.net 15 points 58 minutes ago (3 children)

i want to laugh at israel getting its ass handed to them but i fear that would bite us in the ass hard if they use a nuke, what's a realistic chance percentage of them being totally batshit enough for them to just press that red button?

[–] CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net 14 points 51 minutes ago

The nukes were always for if Israel was going to face imminent invasion from another Arab coalition. There’s no situation that they can use them here and not immediately lose all face on the global stage. They will cease to exist as a state

[–] Horse@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 56 minutes ago* (last edited 56 minutes ago)

this is just vibes, but i would say:
if true promise 3 continues as-is; 20%
if "israel" is invaded; 90%

The US sends 21 refuelling tankers simultaneously to the middle east

They might be headed to Finland for NATO exercises or are repositioning but the timing is definitely weird

[–] CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net 13 points 1 hour ago

This is highly highly unusual. They would not send this many for training

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 3 points 16 minutes ago (1 children)

The fed accounts I follow are posting teaser gifs of B-2 bombers. Might be B-2s getting sent out with that large wave of air-to-air refuelling tankers.

[–] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 4 points 13 minutes ago* (last edited 10 minutes ago)

Nah they'd fly the other way I think, over the Pacific and Australia. That's what they usually do. Transponders wouldn't be on either.

These tankers aren't dragging any aircraft with them, they're flying to high. It's a repositioning of tanker assets, likely to the Middle East.

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 23 points 1 hour ago

Second wave had at least 50 missiles, many impacts outside civilian areas and subject to military censorship.

[–] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 23 points 1 hour ago

Looks like 5 hits on Tel Aviv, 2 on the refinery in Haifa. Probably the largest ballistic missile volley so far.
