Y'all I'm still trying to get a grasp on understanding controlled opposition. Is AOC the same kind of controlled opposition as like FDR was?
Back in FDR days workers organizations were strong and armed, and so the spectre of communism was really haunting, so the controlled opposition had to actually give consessions to workers while persecuting communism. Nowadays they don't need to deliver on their message because there's no labor organizations strong enough to actually do anything in the near horizon, even the ones not coopted by capitalists puppets.
So the controlled opposition only job is to say things (not too spicy of course), but never deliver.
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you
