Holy fucking shit. I almost was exposed to a swear word on the Internet by some asshole cunt. That bitch didn't know it's fucking illegal to swear on the Internet. Thank fucking god someone blurred a very small part of there of five letters making it impossible to read the word "shit". I was about to shit a fucking brick.

shitty.
You can say shitty.
I want to take all these censored memes and edit them so the bad words are in bold red font.
Then I remember the one time I saw a meme that for some reason had the bad word written in red, and my four-year-old daughter was looking over my shoulder and said, "Cunt. That word says 'cunt'."
This is basically a private ambulance convention
I’ve been to two of these recently.
Unfortunately, when you get to a certain age, you start attending funerals for your ex-coworkers.
A few of the people you would like to see show up there if they still live close.
Happened to me as well.
My only office buddy and Star Wars geek like myself.
We said goodbye on Friday after work and a little talk about catching up with Skeleton Crew over the weekend, I come in Monday morning to an email that said he passed away over the weekend.
No explanation, no clue what happened.
We're in our mid-late forties.
May the Force be with you, Sami.
I'm really sorry you had to experience that; sudden loss always hits the hardest. And it really stays with you, so I hope you're healing well
I'm mid-thirties and I've already lost too many people for someone my age. And it's not even drugs or anything like that (though a few were), but just unfortunate circumstances. It's one thing to have grandparents die, but friends in your cohort just hurts differently. And I've started to lose count if I don't sit and think/tally them up; which seems kinda messed up.
I mean, I should be going to more weddings and baby showers than funerals, at my age. Hell, I just lost my first two dogs and an Uncle in his early 50's, over the past 6 months... and it almost starts to feel like that's normal? Like, "well fuck, here we go again"
I like to think that it's the unfortunate/inevitable consequence of having so much love in your life. It hurts like hell, but I would never take back the time I had with them. "The good die young" and all that, so maybe I've just been fortunate enough to know people who are too good, to stay too long (though I'm not sure what that says about myself lol). A minor condolence but it does help me cope
Be well friend and also: May the Force be with you, Sami
But what if my favorite coworkers didn’t actually view me as their favorite coworker? Maybe to them I was just meh. Would they come to my reunion, since they wouldn’t consider me too belong at theirs?
I mean, a certain mutuality is implied.
If you’ve reached a bond where you’re comfortable telling someone that they are your favorite coworker, chances are they appreciate your company, too. At the very least, people like compliments, and being told your somebody’s favorite coworker can be especially impactful.
I imagine you’d be welcome, or even that some people would be disappointed if you didn’t join them.
I do that, we meet and play d&d with good beer and snacks, followed by grilled meat.
Yeah I mean as an adult you're going to meet the most people at work so this seems like the default mode to me. These groups have more in common than high school friends too IMO
Yeah man. For the most part, people are thrown together for an eight or ten or twelve hour stint in work, so I guess you might as well try and get on with the folk you're paired or teamed with, if only to make the time burn down that little quicker.
Sure, there's the extreme groups either side of the social spectrum that either want literally nothing to do with you outside what's mandated by the workplace - that's fine, that's their choice. There's folk who make being at work and entirely social affair - which is fine until their weight isn't being pulled.
I guess nobody really wants to work, so you might as well turn every possible element into an advantage to make it that bit more bearable - and every now and then you'll meet a really good spud that turns into a nice person both in work and out. It's rare, but it does happen.
Workplaces are just a different human setting: there's assholes, diamonds, liars and lifesavers in equal measure.
I do that.
It's the team I previously managed. We all still work there (so far), but I'm no longer a manager. The team was disbursed for various reasons.
We didn't want to say goodbye, so we set up a discord so we could keep shit-talking. We still get together every few months for dinner.
We do that sometimes, it's quite fun. Nobody is stopping you from texting them :)
they used to have a whole party trend back in the 70s/80s that was just like this called "This Is Your Life".
