Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Is this good? My main concern is the Ukronazi freaks who probably won't want to adhere to a ceasefire.

But shortly after the announcement, around an hour before it was due to take effect, air raid sirens rang out in Kyiv.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy dismissed the proposal as "yet another attempt by Putin to play with human lives". As of 45 minutes before the truce was meant to start, Ukrainian planes were repelling Russian air strikes, Zelenskiy said in a post on X.

"They said they won't fight starting at 6PM but they attacked us at 5:30, so clearly they were lying."

I was confused why it would be for Western Easter, but apparently they're on the same day today.

This is smart. Because when the Ukrainian Nazis most likely violate this Putin can point to that in his talks with Trump and Trump's envoy and say "see, I even tried to give them a ceasefire on a religious holy day which is relevant to both Russia and USAian Christians and they smacked my hand away, I'm not sabotaging peace, it's all them".

On the other hand if the Ukrainians could actually manage to control themselves and observe the ceasefire then there would be pressure on Russia to maintain it longer which would be a bad idea because it would lead to freezing the conflict to give Ukraine time to re-arm and at that point if Russia breaks it then they're the bad guys.

But most likely the Russians know the Ukrainians can't help themselves and want to use this as a big colorful example they can point to in order to attempt to sway Trump and his envoy that the Ukrainians are the problem and thus if they wash their hands of the whole thing it shouldn't be in a way that heaps blame on Russia.

Russia's Putin

Thank you, Reuters, i already forgot where he was from

Ukronazi freaks who probably won’t want to adhere to a ceasefire.

1000% wont, then they will blame Russians for returning fire, and entire colective liberalism will eat it as yet another example of evil Putler lying, just like they still believe Russia violated Minsk, and will immediately compare it to Israel.

Probably bad move from Russia.

Isn't this bad because this violate the separation between religion and state principle that should exist

It's good, because less people dying for no reason is good, and I don't care what the motivation behind it is.

I mean, the governments of both ukraine and russia are already so messed up that separation of church and state is probably the least of their problems
