The time of globalization is over. It's time we brought back manufacturing jobs at home. Globalization was never a good idea to begin with. It was just a ploy by big corporations to move manufacturing to regions where labor was cheap and expendable, and environnemental protection laws were either lacking or more permissive. All with the objective to cut costs and rake in more profits. In doing so, we lost our production independance and know how.

I remember some of the spin given by the companies and it was like they were making those countries "prosperous".

It's like: "oh look at all these poor children, we'll fatten them up and make their economy good and then we'll move onto the next country"
