I’m trying to move away from Telegram. I have the iOS app but don’t see any option for downloading my chats or photos and videos sent to me. Has anyone done this recently and can give some pointers?

I used Telegram lite to export all chats, in the end you will get an index.html file and a bunch of folders. So you will be able to browse all chats in web browser.

Does it include videos and photos as well?

Yup, all media files will also be exported.

the option is definitely there on ~~android~~ and desktop. but if iOS is still so simplistic to not have a common filesystem for the user and apps, I don't know where could it put the export file

edit: I was misateken, it seems they have removed the function from the android app

I feel like they also removed story creation from free users very recently
