Amazon is responsible for the maintenance costs of the droids. Amazon is not responsible for the healthcare costs of the employees. That's why.

This past winter they started cracking down more on drivers who go around neighborhoods with the side sliding door open. In the summer that lets you recycle the air from the cargo area because there's no a/c back there. It can be hot and stuffy on a sunny 70 degree day in there.
