He's definitely not part of any fascist organizations, the oligarch throwing Nazi salutes can vouch for him.

Amazing to watch libs slowly discover why there need to be limits on democracy. Maybe one day they'll even understand why socialist states have a single socialist party in charge.

Parliamentarism is a joke of a democracy. It does not represent the people or their needs.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 5 points 4 days ago

Precisely right, it represents the ruling class which are the capital owning oligarchs.

Democracy is when people elect someone and a court (totally not controlled by the imperialism) decides they voted wrong and ban the candidate from running again

That's not what happened though. If you want to be protected by electoral rules, you have to abide by them. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

What happened then?

Will be interesting how this develops. After all he was voted for by a lot of people. Nevertheless a democracy has to defend itself. And i think it is clear that a lot of misinformation etc. Was spread. So lets see what this leads to...

I feel like there is more going on than a coordinated TikTok campaign, but they don't want to say anything less they tip off the Russian actors that they know what they are doing.

Still, imagine if SCOTUS banned the Democratic nominee from running for president because some foreigners were posting TikTok about then.

The tiktok campaign was funded by the ruling political party to divide the vote of opposition parties since Calin was seen as a fringe guy with no chance to win. There was no russian intervention.
