I am not a doctor lol, but the only time I had bruising spread over such a large area was when I broke my wrist and the contusion went all the way up my forearm

Sorry, that seems painful. No need to worry though unless you have trouble moving your fingers or wrist (check if you can clench your fist with good force, and carefully see if you can move and flex your pinky normally). Also look for any part of your forearmarm or hand becoming painfully swollen, or pale and sweaty. It is normal though to have a numb pinky (often affects the ring finger too) for up to several days.
Once I hit my elbow really hard and I had a numb pinky for a couple of weeks, it's uncomfortable, but at least blunt impacts rarely hurt a nerve permanently.
Not a doctor, but nerves that are pinched because of bruises usually heal on their own, in my experience. The tips of my index and middle fingers once got numb for two days after carrying too many heavy grocery bags at the same time, but it went away. Do see a doctor if it doesn't feel right after a couple days, though.
Gonna be real, if you can go to a&e or a minor injury unit or something to get checked out you should. I had a fairly minor fall that I thought had just sprained my wrist, but a month later I found out it was a broken bone. If it's caused any serious damage you want to find out now rather than when it's half healed wrong.
