This is what the press sec said the other day. Paraphrasing, but she basically said "if you are in the country illegally then you are a criminal" when a journo asked if only criminals would be rounded up and deported. I was shocked but I shouldn't have been.

Really shouldn't be shocked. That language had always been a part of the Trump campaign and conservative politics in general. There was never going to be any differentiation between upstanding migrants and ones that are in gangs and what not. They don't emphasis "illegal" in illegal immigrant/alien for nothing.
