China does not respect US copyright law, I don't even think there is a legal basis to this. It's just China Bad propaganda or OpenAI throwing a fit.

China not respecting IP is such a funny excuse liberals like to make to explain away the Chinese people's progress. Even if that was the major reason for them doing well, doesn't that argue FOR China and AGAINST neoliberalism? They're basically saying the only reason we dont have high speed rail is because of copyright and IP law. Then why have it? Its not like it does what it was supposed to do.

Copyright laws are sort of stupid. People shouldn't be forced to make inferior products just because someone else beat them to an idea. At the very worse, they should just share 10% of the profits with the original designer and then let everyone copy any designs they want

“We have evidence!”

“May we see it?”

“No.”

Just file the lawsuit

Weren't there something about Metas AI and torrents? Also news about how OpenAI liked to use copyright protected material to train their stuff? Now crying about deepseek sounds pathetic

Crying about someone doing what you did, but better is what winners do actually

Wasn't openAI supposed to be open source at one point also?
