So I’ve been in a handful of Muslim countries and the call to prayer is usually done quite professionally and it doesn’t sound that bothersome. However, I’ve noticed in both Lombok and Jakarta that it sounds a bit like they just let anyone do it. Is there a reason why it sounds so bad? I feel like they let a bunch of kids take turns and it lasts a really long time. Not trying to insult anyone with this post, more just trying to understand what’s happening there as it sounds way different and less “official” than what you’d hear in the Middle East or Malaysia.
