If they ARE edible, you're pretty lucky. Oysters are really tasty and go with a lot of different foods. They also dehydrate easily for storage. Hope you can find a positive ID for them.

Pleurotus sp, aka oysters. Spore print won't really help here, most things that look like this are white-spored or near. Think of spore prints as a way to occasionally rule out something else, not mandatory for a positive ID
Looks like they are, is that tree alder or cottonwood?
