I guess that McDonald's is gonna see a sharp decline in customer volume now which is already probably low since it was like 8 bucks for a sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin meal the last time I went a few months ago.

You vastly overestimate how closely the average person is following this story, or is willing to change their behavior for events like this. Especially in a place like Altoona, Pennsylvania.
I was wondering if the person who turned him in has been following the overwhelming sense of support for what he did.
Basically, did they think about that before doing anything, or did they not give it a second thought because they didn’t realize there could be a backlash?
- You may be underestimating how much people read/see beyond headlines.
- If there was a person who had murdered someone in front of you, do you think you'd not worry for your own safety?
I would, but that vs a nation of people who would be threatening me & my family if my name got out is the thought experiment that piqued my curiosity.
This may be why he cut off his family.
They are referring to the McDonald’s employee.
In the last couple months, McDonald's has:
- Allowed Trump to pretend to work there for a photo op that boosted his likeability with poor workers
- Had an E. coli outbreak that was twice as big as the Chipotle outbreak that dominated news cycles a few years ago
- Ratted out the modern day Robinhood
The average consumer doesn't give a fuuuuuuuuuuuccck.
Even in Europe everyone I know is following this story.
But are they going to boycott one of McDonald's in Altoona, PA over this?
I'll bet they'll almost all boycott that McDonald's location, I'll bet that location doesn't see a single one of those Europeans after this
You also vastly underestimate how much burgerlanders love their McDonald’s.
I don't cott a boy lightly, but I will, for a good cause.
Uhhhh... phrasing?
Right?
Doesn't seem like a false 1-star review to me
Fuckin narc donalds full of rats
Someone needs to start a gofund me to finance a slew of advertising in New York espousing the virtues of jury nullification.
Please, no one burn it down.
Look I’m sad they found him too, and fuck the people who turned him in, but no good will come from burning down the inanimate building where the caught him.
It would be a dispersion of the energies created by his act into a useless thing. Not to mention you might end up killing some people in the process; more or less innocent people. So can we tone it down a notch.
Was it the staff or a customer. That’s still up in the air, depending on the article.
I don't think they want the identity of the rat getting out. I'm willing to bet that there are plenty of people who really want to publicly remind everybody that snitches get stitches. Word on the street is that this rat can suddenly afford a $60k hospital bill, unlike UHC customers whose claims get denied every day.
I guess getting two nights in a hospital is worth throwing a hero under a bus.
My bet: the rat don't exist.
Iirc, it was a staff member.
Yeah I think they are pushing this customer thing to take the heat off of another corporation
You're right, of course, burning down a building would be pointless.
I hope that everything is well with the McDonald's CEO and that he's safe and happy.
No. Fuck you.
I don't get it. Why should that McDonalds and its staff suffer?
It's McDonald's. The staff was already suffering.
Bet everyone who works there knows who the snitch is.
"Since the spotting happened in private property, the reward will go to the private owners of said property."
Franchise owner: Good job! -Hands over $100 gift card-
For $60k it could be anyone. That'd probably be double the manager's yearly income, and more than anyone else's there.
Because a mob isn't very nuanced in its judgement.
Maybe put that energy into something useful instead
Like?
More ceo's.
Haha. Sure okay. You do one and then I’ll do one.
It sucks to suck.
You know, I looked it up and their rating is still over 3/5 stars. I wonder what that means.
Companies have policies against brigading. They will either remove or will not count these reviews. Google already clarified this I think.
