ANTONBLAST is silly, chaotic, eclectic and above all FUN!
Console Creatures - Bobby Pashalidis - 8 / 10
Undoubtedly, Antonblast is one of those few platformers you'll remember for ages.
DualShockers - Monica Phillips - 8.5 / 10
Everything together makes for one of the most fun games I've played this year and an easy recommendation to any platforming fanatic.
Evilgamerz - Christiaan Ribbens - Dutch - 7.6 / 10
With its exaggerated cartoon style, chaotic gameplay, and nods to classic platformers, Antonblast manages to leave a unique impression. It may lack some finesse in the controls and technical support, but the combination of nostalgia and original ideas makes it a title worth checking out. If you enjoyed the recently released and equally insane Pizza Tower, then chances are that Antonblast will also appeal to you. The demo is available on Steam now, so give it a try and see if this wild rollercoaster is for you.
Final Weapon - Saras Rajpal - 4 / 5
Antonblast is an incredibly fun time. The premise is unique, the gameplay is incredibly addicting, and the visuals are beautiful. Further, the inspirations that led to its creation are honored respectfully and are used, not to create a cheap nostalgic response, but to create an experience fun for all players. While the game has some bugs, difficulty spikes, and control issues, I highly recommend it, regardless of whether or not you're a fan of the genre.
Gamer Escape - Aaron Botts - 7 / 10
I was relieved to find a fun and funky game that just wants to have fun and let the player wade in its weirdness. It might have its annoyances (of which there are a few), but Antonblast is a fine example of a solid indie action platformer. It doesn’t hit many of the heights of its influences and contemporaries, but is a game that’s worth plowing through in its own right. If you can handle some of the rougher aspects of the game, this is something that I can reccommend. Platformer junkies, indie fans, and people who enjoy weird and wacky platformers will find Antonblast be something worth blasting through.
GamesRadar+ - Oscar Taylor-Kent - 4 / 5
Antonblast explosively reinvents the destructive energy of Wario Land, delivering high-energy action that has you demolishing levels at speed while also rewarding precise play with a serious sense of momentum. Boss fights slow the pace a bit, but this is a front-to-back thrillride that you'll keep coming back to master.
God is a Geek - Lyle Pendle - 9.5 / 10
ANTONBLAST is a sensational Wario style platformer with a flow unlike anything else, but you'll need to put the time in to master it.
Hobby Consolas - Daniel Quesada - Spanish - 86 / 100
One of the most lighthearted and well-measured platformers we remember in a long time. If you're into frenetic heroes and explosive jumps, don't hesitate.
Kakuchopurei - Jonathan Leo - 80 / 100
It ain't as spectacular as Pizza Tower -a fair comparison given how good that 2023 indie gem was- but Antonblast is still a damn fine 2D platforming and action title that stands on its own red little feet.
Slant Magazine - Aaron Riccio - 4 / 5
Indeed, a single level like the Mad Mall feels more inventive—between you having to scramble through a ball pit maze, race on a Segway-like device, and solve a shooting gallery puzzle—than the entirety of other platformers.

ANTONBLAST jumped out of the blue two years after its kickstarter campaign and definitely showed what it was capable of. It is a great platformer game in the style of the Wario Land series, which presents this gameplay model in its own style, while not being afraid to take risky directions. Without a doubt, this is one of the best platformer games of this year.
