Happy Indie Sunday Reddit!

I've been working on The Roottrees are Dead, a puzzle game where you use detective skills to fill in the family tree for the mysterious Roottree family. You'll find evidence by searching the internet circa 1999, follow leads and tangents, learning more and more until what seemed like an impossible task feels easy and all comes together.

If you've enjoyed games like "The Case of the Golden Idol" or "Return of the Obra Dinn" you'll feel right at home here. It uses the same "lock in several correct answers" at once mechanic.

Originally this game was released for free on itch.io as part of the Global Game Jam. This is the steam version, which is a "requel" as it contains the original free game plus a whole new mystery called Roottreemania. The art is totally redone, we have professional voice acting, a totally re-thought user interface, a hint system, and more!

The game will be released on January 15th, 2025.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you have. I'd love to answer them.
