The coup-attempting criminal former president also accused Biden and Harris of having "left Americans to drown" in the South.

Donald Trump, who as president withheld hurricane aid to Puerto Rico and threatened to withhold wildfire assistance to California, on Monday falsely accused President Joe Biden of failing to help Hurricane Helene’s flood victims in western North Carolina and Georgia, having “left Americans to drown” in the South.

“He’s been calling the president, he hasn’t been able to get him,” Trump said of Georgia’s governor, fellow Republican Brian Kemp, in his remarks to reporters in Valdosta, a city in the southern part of the state.

It was a lie — refuted by Kemp himself earlier that day.

“The president just called me yesterday afternoon. I missed him and I called him right back,” Kemp told reporters. “And he just said, ‘Hey, what do you need?’”

Step 1: tell your supporters the media can’t be trusted.

Step 2: lie as much as you want

Went looking for a different quote, but came upon these instead and liked them better:

“[T]he Party member [...] tolerates present-day conditions because he has no standards of comparison. He must be cut off from the past, just as he must be cut off from foreign countries, because it is necessary for him to believe that he is better off than his ancestors and that the average level of material comfort is constantly rising.”

And when memory failed and written records were falsified—when that happened, the claim of the Party to have improved the conditions of human life had got to be accepted, because there did not exist, and never again could exist, any standard against which it could be tested.

This is the aid he offered. Well, that and chucking water at starving people. Probably shortly after figuring out that PR is part of the United States...

I believe he also chucked rolls of paper towels at them. Many people, smart people, are saying they were quite good at absorbing all that hurricane flood water.

Everyday the stupid hat, the greasepaint, the ridiculously long tie, the same colors - looks more like a clown costume.
