What a weird scale

There are only 4 colors. It's a scale 0-3.

Appalachian Mountains.

Not sure why that has better climate.

Garbage indicator, the red areas (especially the southernmost ones like LA) are way too hot. That's not good weather, that's the kind of weather where everyone who can has their AC running six months a year.
