Starting to feel like home, right?

[–] Sheeple@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Good thing an actually functioning block feature exists here <3

[–] Broken_Monitor@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Especially when I write some long winded rebuttal and after I post it find myself wondering why I’m escalating some stupid ass argument. Oh yeah. It’s like I never left.

[–] Vespair@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

I'll write 4 paragraphs, then notice I made one typo and get frustrated and delete the whole goddamn thing

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Resdit is dead; long live Reddit.

[–] Veedem@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Correcting people on the internet is basically our version of terraforming and, baby, we just landed on mars.

[–] Spliffman1@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Correction : I think Jupiter would be a better analogy

[–] slackassassin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Ahem, I'm assuming you mean the moons of Jupiter.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lemmy isn't reddit, but whatever it is, they're both the internet.

[–] genoxidedev1@kbin.social 29 points 1 year ago (1 children)

☝️🤓 akshuly there's probably never go-ink to be, * gasp * more than 10 reasons for either in a casual conversation, that's why you're wrong! You fool! You absolute sheep! I am the superior person in this conversation!

[–] Absolutemehperson@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Why don't you back that up with a source?

[–] bandario@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This is my personal favourite. Asking for sources in general conversation, and refusing to participate further in any discussion without them. Then it turns out their own sources are just links to some "journalist" opinion from a web site, written by a different human being without any sources.

[–] Draconic_NEO@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I believe that tactic is called sealioning. It's very common on Twitter actually.

[–] Sheeple@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

My source is that I made it the fuck up

[–] Spliffman1@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Best sauces are self made

[–] genoxidedev1@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

No, you see, I already told you I am a superior being. My parents are both CIA psycho-astronauts with the highest security clearance, I'm THAT important also I have a IQ of 239 which is higher than all of you combined I don't need to back myself up with your so called "sources" only mindless sheep have to back themselves up with such. I am no mindless sheep, you see, I am a lone wolf my smartness makes others not want to associate with me because they feel so dumb next to me I exude IQ. That's also why I believe both sides are the same. * tips fedora * OwO

  1. I can't believe you didn't include a typo to prove your point.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 25 points 1 year ago (2 children)

[–] chris@lem.cochrun.xyz 3 points 1 year ago

[–] bandario@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 year ago

The image that captures the one consistent truth of the internet. GG.

[–] lugal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

Not me for sure but OP just doesn't get it

[–] LegionEris@feddit.nl 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You may have sources, but I have a goalpost on a stick that I can wave around!

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 year ago

Unrelated, but I happened to notice your uname, so

Praise "Bob" and hail Eris!

[–] alignedchaos@sh.itjust.works 13 points 1 year ago

[–] doublejay1999@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] Norgur@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

But you didn't consider that....

[–] eezeebee@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] Norgur@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago

Funny how you fail to see...

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago (3 children)

you're right, therefore, you're wrong

[–] over_clox@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Correction: I'm right because I'm wrong.

[–] slackassassin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Checkmate tautologists.

This statement is false

[–] pinkdrunkenelephants@sopuli.xyz 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I thought we were calling ourselves lemmonades.

You're spot-on, though.

[–] Azzu@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

There surely wasn't ever a situation where you were actually wrong in 583287312 ways! At most, it could have been 583287311! Shit not even in your complaining you can be correct...

[–] bilboswaggings@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

"Well achtually thanks to the shouty math symbol you're numbers are way huger"

(The bad spelling is intentional including but not limited to "you're")

[–] Spliffman1@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I was about to correct you but I'm checking my sources first

[–] Ghyste@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

This meme is 100% correct though.

[–] victron@programming.dev 2 points 1 year ago

And at some point, you're gonna have a whole thread of people talking about billionaires or google.
