My Steam Deck OLED decided to go all rainbow screen on me and lock up Saturday and I had to force it off. It would not power on. Only gave me 3 blinking white lights. I tried every fix I could find and nothing would resolve it. When plugging in the charger it would go green light. From what I understand the 3 white lights mean dead battery, but green light means charged battery. I got tired of trying to resolve it and reached out to Valve. They asked me some questions and I admitted I swapped out the sticks for hall effect sticks months ago right after I got it. This is my second deck as I got the 512 LED on release.

The Valve rep seemed to gloss over the fact that I opened it and messed with it. We tried more trouble shooting and I told them that I just want to know what could be wrong so I could buy what I needed to fix it as I know I most likely voided my warranty. Again, they suggest more steps to try on their third email to me. I attempt the fixes and relay to them my results. 4th email comes from them and they say in the most non-accusing words that the issue could result from my use and opening of the system, but they will as a gesture of good will RMA the system.

Valve, you are the best. I was ready to pay for repairs/buy a new deck. I have had my steam account since January 31, 2004 and they have never let me down.
