I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember, but aside from the occasional multi-player game at a party, my older sister was never really into them. We're both adults now and we live about an hour apart, so it would be nice to have some more mutual interests so we stay motivated to keep in touch.

She recently started watching some streamers on Twitch and it gave me the idea that this might be an in to get her into video games. I didn't really need a reason to upgrade to the OLED Deck, but hey I'll take it. I gifted her my original Deck which she was pretty shocked to get. Well she just recently purchased her first game; none other than Elden Ring lol. Wouldn't have been my pick for first ever video game, but she had watched some streamers play it and was very interested in it, so hey who am I to judge? It's been awesome getting all the updates from her about the progress she is making and how proud she is of beating an early boss or getting a certain item. I gotta give it up to the SteamDeck, I don't see this happening without it. Also loving my OLED Deck too obviously...
