Ctrl+a - go to beginning of line (alpha? I dunno)

ctrl+e - go to (e)nd of the line

alt+f - (f)orward one word

alt+b - (b)ack one word

You might already know these but no one else has posted them on this thread yet. I work in both Linux and Mac a lot and this works for them. No idea about Windows I'm no longer forced to use it at work ๐Ÿ™‚

Works the same as M-b for me (backwards-word)

Make sure your /etc/inputrc or ~/.inputrc contains

# mappings for Ctrl-left-arrow and Ctrl-right-arrow for word moving

"\e[1;5C": forward-word

"\e[1;5D": backward-word

"\e[5C": forward-word

"\e[5D": backward-word

"\e\e[C": forward-word

"\e\e[D": backward-word`
