Original Title: Contrary to popular belief, the Marshmallow Test does not reliably predict adult functioning, suggests a new study of 702 individuals who completed the test as toddlers at 4.5 years of age and followed up at age 26. The Test was not strongly predictive of adult achievement, health, or behavior.
