Today I am here to bring you something small.
JumpSkipReborn is a remake of the Tweak JumpSkip by Karimo299.
For those who don't know the original (as it's quite old at this point...):
JumpSkipReborn allows you to control your music playback using the volume buttons of your device.
The controls are as follows:
- Volume Up + Volume Down = Play / Pause
- Volume Down -> Volume Up = Next Track
- Volume Up -> Volume Down = Previous Track
- Volume Down -> Volume Up (hold) = Fast Forward
- Volume Up -> Volume Down (hold) = Rewind
The tweak as well the source code can be found here.
What does JumpSkipReborn provide over the original?
JumpSkipReborn first and foremost has rootless support.
Furthermore, the source is publicly viewable (for learning purposes) and it should be more feature complete, as the original used private APIs, which haven't been present in iOS since iOS 13.
...also the original doesn't have a official source to download it from anymore, at least to my knowledge.
