He's probably shipping them to Cuba moreso to protect them from getting destroyed near Ukraine by all those missiles & drone boats.

Wait till they find out that Ukrainians have some pretty decent SOF squads, and that they all happen to know how to buy plane tickets.

I mean, it'd have been as easy as piss to bring Cuba back into the Sphere of Influence (tm) after Castro died, and yet

[–] credo@lemmy.world 25 points 5 months ago

And yet Trump canceled all the forward progress. Coincidence?

Its insane how badly the US has fumbled Cuba relations, all because of a grudge.

Yes, though it should be mentioned that Obama was putting things on track to normalize relations… and then Trump summarily ruined that, largely just because it was a thing that Obama did, and he fuckin HATES Obama.

So there goes the urban legend that Cuba is communist

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 5 points 5 months ago

It's fun. If the right don't like a country or government, they are what they say they are- Cuba is communist, the Nazis were socialists.

But if they don't like a country, they will totally agree that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is neither democratic nor a republic.

They're bringing a salvage tug. Not a big show of confidence in that selection.
