You know. I've played chess for like 30 years and I can't recall a single time someone has used en passant against me.
I feel like it's a rule made up by someone who didn't agree with the double step rule
"Oh, your pawn can do a double step? Well, my pawn can capture yours anyways!"
This took me a couple seconds but I'm happy to report that once it clicked it got an out loud "oh my god" from me irl 🤦♀️
