This ice cream (or at least one that looks extremely similar) is called… Nogger in Germany

With the tagline Nogger yourself

[–] Stamau123@lemmy.world 15 points 5 months ago

Go Nog yourself

[–] phuntis@lemm.ee 9 points 5 months ago (2 children)

that's not even remotely similar that's just an oreo ice lolly

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 months ago (1 children)
[–] phuntis@lemm.ee 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

well what else would I call it other than what it is

[–] brbposting@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Ice lolly is funny to read, but more importantly I’m glad people take issue with calling ice cream bars popsicles (calling ice cream bars ice lollies)

[–] phuntis@lemm.ee 2 points 5 months ago

I have never heard the word ice cream bar

[–] Tikiporch@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

In America it was just called "Toasted Almond Bar" , and is no longer made by Good Humor. See, we only eat sweets that pay homage to other brand name sweets. So you take Oreo crumbs off the floor of the assembly line and paste them on the outside of a popcicle and call it a win-win.

they're called walls here dunno why they're called good humour over there feels like half the brands have a different name in the us

Strange, the Nogger has no nuts, or whatever it is, on it in Sweden. Otherwise similar. They did however launch a licorice version called Nogger Black a decade or so ago, that one seems to have crossed the line

[–] clark@midwest.social 4 points 5 months ago

I thought it was this ice cream (Sweden).

[–] Mountaineer@aussie.zone 27 points 5 months ago (1 children)

They do a plant based version that is still delicious and doesn't upset lactose intollerent people.

[–] lengau@midwest.social 13 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Sorry, but I have no tolerance for intolerance /s

[–] Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc 7 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I do have some lactose friend but...

[–] LinusSexTips@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I'm intolerant to people who lack toes.

For the longest time the slogon was "It's hard to have a Gaytime on your own." https://youtu.be/YshX_hzAXow

I was about to say "that stout isn't gay enough compared to the ice cream!" but then I saw the musclebound guy gripping a shaft with two hairy balls. Well played, Big Shed Brewing!

Btw, the above is definitely one of my favorite things that I've said on Lemmy so far 😆

[–] GeneralVincent@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (2 children)

$10 a can! Even converted, that's $6.63 freedom dollars °•°

[–] Outsider9042@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Alcohol is heavily taxed in Australia.

[–] GeneralVincent@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Whoever came up with that tax must be very much disliked in Australia I imagine lmao

[–] allcretansareliars@lemmy.ml 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

It's also $70 in dog money.

[–] GeneralVincent@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Those poor dogs probably can't even afford buy beer ;~;

This company has a different name for pretty much every country they sell in.

[–] frankgrimeszz@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Is it an ice cream or cereal on a stick?

[–] Hedlosa@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Ice cream, the outside is a soft cookie like texture. One of the best ice creams going in Aus (and that's not only cause I'm bi)
