Residents of some cities had a dusty start to the weekend after an unusually high level of particulates arrived from the Sahara. Forecasters in Germany expect the dust to be visible through Easter.

Just some background info for those not familiar with this Sahara-Dust phenomenon:

This happens all the time, and has for a long time. It is just a byproduct of being so close to this monster of a desert.

I can always tell when it's happening, not by any visual phenomena but because my car gets covered in this dusty dirt. I live in England.

oh so that's really what it was,
ive seen a weirdly yellow sky recently.

i thought it may be sahara sand, but i wasnt sure, because i was used to it being a more of an orange color.
