Ah yes. The Lemmy.ml troll has things to say. Important things.

Oh, no, a gringo has tried to offend me. I hope you keep living peaceful while your empire collapses and you keep licking US's bloody boots.

Everything is biased. Especially liberal imperialist shutoffyourbrain tools like mediabiasedfc.

Can you give any examples for this particular outlet?

You guys don't respond to everything saying 'it's biased'

[–] gary_host_laptop@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because it will say very mild things about any mouthpiece of the Anglo Empire but every media outlet based on an anti imperialist country is evil and can't be trusted. More so, it's stupid, everything has a bias, I've read interesting and sensible takes from right wing outlets and the other way around, it's just how it's framed and how it's told. You need to use your brain and read through the Imperialese in order to understand the key point, not to go to this shitty website and totally negate everything a newspaper has published because it says it's right wing whatever or ultra leftist extremism.

Thanks, but that's not really an example.

But it is an explanation. People use mbfc as a way to simply wrap themselves in a blanket, to excuse or feel ok about ignoring anything that feels "icky", rather than actually taking the time to read through multiple sides and sources to sift through the biased language most media platforms use, whether it's left right center up down or what-have-you.

It's basically a time-saving ignorance shield for the vast majority of people who don't really care to put the work in. Subtlety and nuance is lost in convenience.
