Fuck, a conspiracy from AI sellers to make the general population dumber so that they NEED AI to do their daily tasks is not something I ever imagined but fuck if I don't now think they would try that if they thought they could get away with it...
algorithmized social media and a decaying public education system (originally designed to create compliant factory drones) has been setting that one up for decades
Yup, but there's something uniquely "appealing" and appalling about the whole idea of poisoning people to be dumb that just feels even worse, but the decay of the public education in the US definitively has been happening and is leading to that same conclusion, with at least a possibility of people only being taught wrong or not taught at all, instead of actually being dumber and unable to learn
