I’d rather use proprietary products.

Where did that come from? How about the Ender 3 or a UltiMaker or a Lite3DP Gen 2 or even a DIY one?

Ah yeah, I meant if I had to chose between the options. To illustrate that that's a greater evil.

Sure, but please we mindful that if you do that it implies there are no more non proprietary options, which is just not true (even though the constraints are different I admit).

Let's help each other find, or even build if nothing else is available, the lesser evil ;)

I know there are other options. It was just hypothetical.

But no way. Just building the prusa mini was way harder than I thought. Took me days and I messed up many things. I wouldn't try something even harder. Not that I have any way of having a 3d printer anymore... I'm trying to sell my prusa because of that. But I'll stop trying to convince people to buy prusa.
