I feel like our modern life, due to cultural and economic factors, is just slowly.. then rapidly, heading towards being composed almost entirely of a simulacrum. The real being eroded away in favour of the hyperreal

i think one of Adam Curtis' movies is about that. Not sure if it's HyperNormalization or Can't get you out of my head or another one

There was a documentary written about this a while back. Something about human batteries by two trans women.
