how's fossil fuel emissions in china? (piefed.social)

aa much tech for green energy comes from chinese industry, chinese state centrally govern industry, knowing what levels of fossil fuel emissions occur in china seems like a good marker for the climate crisis politics there.

so, is china green?

Peak Coal use in China was reached in 2024 (provided there isn't some major electric emergency causing a massive need for coal use in the near future.) Gasoline and diesel fuel use is falling with peak oil expected some time in the next 3 years. We won't know for sure for a few years but 2025 might be the peak of CO2 emissions if not some time in the next few years.
